To-watch | I (Heart) Huckabees

I know that I have to see this movie and that I will fall in love with it. Existential comedy and drama. I saw it when I went through a pile of my theater teacher’s DVDs and at first glance I thought it’d be some cheesy romantic comedy.

The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnussus | like Alice in Wonderland and Moulin Rouge! put together. great movie, and Heath Ledger’s last.

The Talented Mr Ripley | one of the creepiest movies i’ve ever seen. gives me chills.

currently watching… The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)

first time I saw it, I was 11 and it made my little ideal world of perfect lovely couples collapse. these ordinary characters (who at first seem completely unharmful) slowly unveil their true personalities and by the end of the movie they’re all just really fucked up. Which by now I have realized is just how most adults are. Overall, I just fucking loved it. I didn’t see the ending coming. It was superb. It’s definitely not an ordinary movie about love. It’s about fucked up, greedy, sleazy, hungry human minds and relationships. so good. and nat portman totally deserved that award win.
